Google’s AI Overviews feature is currently facing an interesting problem. I searched for the term “disregard” again later and got another answer, which you can see in the image at the top of this post. AI Overviews doesn’t just struggle with the word “disregard.”.
Google didn't immediately respond to a request for comment about what's going on. However, this is almost certainly just some kind of funny glitch. Maybe Google Search itself is tired after everything that happened at Google I/O.
Google's AI technology has been developing at a rapid pace, offering new features and improvements to the search experience. However, as with all new technologies, there are times when unexpected problems arise. The specific case with the words "disregard," "ignore," and "skip" seems to be one of those problems.

Google's AI is designed to provide users with a more comprehensive and accurate search experience, offering summary results and suggestions based on advanced algorithmic analysis. However, the fact that the AI can display answers that are more like those of a chatbot suggests that there may be a problem interpreting some keywords.
This incident highlights the importance of continuously monitoring and improving AI systems, as well as the need to quickly address errors that may arise. Google, as one of the world's leading technology companies, has the ability and responsibility to ensure that its products work in the best possible way for its users.
It is important to note that such issues are not uncommon in the early stages of new technology development. Users should be patient and expect improvements as the technology evolves. Google is likely already working on a fix for this issue and we will have more information on what caused this failure soon.
