A new update to the Twitter for iOS and Android adds new filters to the search function so you can find exactly the tweets and people you're looking for. Once you've typed in your search term, click the icon right next to the word and choose between photos, videos, news, people, and more.
Also, a new trending timeline has been added to the Discover tab that shows trends along with the corresponding tweets, and you can see the most popular TV series as well as nearby events.
You'll find Twitter for free for iPhone, iPad [iTunes link] and Android devices [Google Play link].
