The new tvOS 26.4 brings an exciting addition to the Apple TV app: Genius Browse. This feature provides recommendations for TV shows and movies across multiple suggested categories based on the user’s content preferences.

These categories are updated regularly, offering a constantly refreshed experience. Some examples of categories include Workplace Comedies, Psychological Thrillers, History with Humor, Impressive Documentaries about Nature, Exciting Blockbusters, Dramatic Family Stories, and Entertainment for the Whole Family.

By selecting one of the categories, the user receives a list of related content suggestions, which can be further explored through the For You, TV Shows and Movies , and Genres. When browsing through the recommended movies and series, tvOS 26.4 also provides titles related to the one selected.

tvOS 26.4: Genius Browse suggestions are not static
Genius Browse's recommendations aren't static and will continue to introduce new categories of content. The content Apple recommends isn't limited to Apple TV shows and movies, but also includes titles from other streaming services like HBO Max and Amazon Prime. However, as with other Apple TV app recommendations, Netflix content is not included.

Apple is limiting the Genius Browse feature to tvOS 26.4, and you won't find this option in iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, or macOS 26.4.
