There is good news for owners of older Samsung Galaxy Watch: the company today announced the launch of One UI 6 Watch for previous smartwatch with Wear OS.

The One UI 6 Watch represents Samsung’s take on Wear OS 5, introducing a number of new features. In the health and fitness area, it includes AI-, sleep apnea detection , and Energy Score, a new metric that assesses recovery from exercise and physical stress.

Additionally, the new Workout Routine lets you create a custom workout by combining different types of activities. Also included is mode for runners and cyclists, which lets them compare their current and previous workouts.
In addition to health tracking , One UI 6 Watch will offer new watch faces and increased interoperability with other Galaxy devices . Galaxy phone users will be able to use AI-generated suggested replies and the double-pinch gesture. This gesture, previously available as an accessibility setting, is now more centrally integrated into the main interface.

With that being said, you may not see the update right away. Samsung says it will be available to the Galaxy Watch 6 first, before reaching the Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 4 models in the coming weeks.
