Ubisoft . has pulled out of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, citing "various reasons" and apologizing for announcing it at the last minute

Ubisoft Japan announced the decision via a press release, which was immediately translated. Due to unexplained reasons, the publisher's scheduled livestream will not take place. Ubisoft had promised news and updates for Assassin's Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Rainbow Six: Siege , and XDefiant.
The Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, September 26th, and will run until the 29th. As one of the world's largest gaming , the event will be held at the impressive Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, just outside Tokyo. We'll be following the event closely and of course, we'll be bringing you all the latest PlayStation.

The company apologizes for this sudden disruption it caused, given that there was high demand – especially for AC Shadows -, attributing this forced drop-out to a sequence of circumstances and not to anything specific.
"We apologize for the late notice and express our sincere apologies to everyone who was looking forward to the presentation.".

Ubisoft also announced that the giveaway campaign will continue, despite the cancellation of the presentation. This announcement comes at a time when Ubisoft has faced criticism regarding Assassin's Creed Shadows , which is set in Japan and is scheduled to release in November.
