The international robotics competition FIRST Global Challenge 2024 will be held for the first time in Greece, from 26 to 29 September 2024, and COSMOTE, as a telecommunications sponsor, has taken care to cover the needs of its holding with state-of-the-art mobile and fixed network infrastructures. This is an educational competition, co-organized by the Ministry of Digital Governance, and aims to inspire the two billion young people in the world to engage in the STEM fields, contributing through technological innovation to solving critical problems of the planet.
The FIRST Global Challenge 2024 will feature national teams from over 190 countries. Through STEM, thousands of young people will propose solutions to this year’s educational competition theme, “Feeding the Future.” Participating students ages 14-18 will use their creativity, critical thinking, and skills to build robots that, through a simulation of reality, will focus on creating a sustainable food system.
The opening ceremony of the FIRST Global Challenge 2024 will take place in Kallimarmaro, while the competition part will be held at the Peace & Friendship Stadium (SEF).
