Sony has applied for certification of a PlayStation VR2 PC adapter in South Korea, as it seeks to expand the availability of the virtual reality (VR) headset to more platforms.
X/Twitter user Brad Lynch discovered a filing on the website of South Korea's National Broadcasting Service that clearly mentions a " PlayStation VR2 PC adapter ," without offering any further details. However, Sony has already announced plans to bring the headset to the PC and may have found a way to do so.

“We are pleased to announce that we are testing the ability to access additional games for users via PC, offering a greater variety beyond the PS VR2 titles available via PS5,” Sony said in February 2024. “We hope to provide this support within 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.”
Although this certification is not yet an official announcement, it shows that Sony is well on its way to completing its plan and bringing PS VR2 to PC by the end of 2024.
The $549 headset was released exclusively for the $500 PlayStation 5 in February 2023. That meant those who wanted to use it but didn't own the console had to spend over a thousand dollars. Sony is hoping that making it available for PC will boost sales , as they've been underperforming so far .

Sony Interactive Entertainment chief Eric Lempe said in December 2023 that sales were “doing well.” However, he admitted that “general expectations for what virtual reality would achieve in gaming were higher.”
