The Pocket Go is Tecno's first portable gaming console. Surprisingly, the Tecno Pocket Go doesn't look like a conventional portable gaming console at all, although it may prove to be more powerful than the Steam Deck and the ASUS ROG Ally, among others.
Tecno has unveiled its first attempt at producing a portable gaming console. However, the Tecno Pocket Go takes a completely different form factor from popular contemporary counterparts like the Steam Deck or the ASUS ROG Ally. Instead, the Tecno Pocket Go is closer to the essence of the Pimax Portal or the Lenovo Legion Go when paired with the Legion Glasses.

Even so, Tecno is trying to redefine what a gaming handheld really is, as the company is completely removing a conventional screen. Specifically, the Pocket Go is a controller that houses a 35W processor running Windows 11.According to Tecno, the Pocket is powered by the Ryzen 7 8840HS, an octa-core , 28W APU that features an integrated Radeon 780M GPU.
Additionally, Tecno bundles the Hawk Point HS APU with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM , a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD , and a removable 50Wh battery . While these components and features resemble those of a modern laptop, the Pocket Go has a fairly limited selection of ports. Specifically, Tecno includes a pair of USB Type-C ports , a 3.5mm audio jack , and a MicroSD card slot , plus two buttons for controlling the accompanying AR glasses.

The AR glasses can reportedly create projections of up to 215″ inches at a distance of 6 meters via the two 0.71” inch Micro OLED. Additionally, the AR glasses support head and eye tracking. Unfortunately, Tecno hasn’t shared many other details yet, such as a potential release date or pricing at launch.
