Audiomojis Android

Google Messages has been getting a number of features in recent months, with Google announcing a few of them in December to mark the app’s one billionth RCS user. Separately, the messaging app has seen some visual additions recently, including animated emoji reactions. Now, it looks like Google is planning to expand similar reactions to its Phone app, offering a slew of sound effects during phone calls.

The Audiomojis feature for Android was discovered in Google Phone version 124 (beta), according to AssembleDebug writing for TheSpAndroid. German website SmartDroid.de was the first to report the development, also in collaboration with AssembleDebug.

What are Audiomojis?

These are essentially sound-based reactions that are added during phone calls. There are six options in total. AssembleDebug was able to extract the corresponding sounds from the Google Phone app code.

Additionally, AssembleDebug reports that each of these Audiomojis is accompanied by a corresponding animation, which is likely to appear on the screen along with the sound effects.

It's currently unknown how these Audiomojis will be enabled in the phone app on Android devices. AssembleDebug speculates that Google might limit this feature to the Call Screen or simply make it available on the phone's call screen. It'll be interesting to see if the corresponding sound effect animation also makes it to the other end of the line.

AssembleDebug notes that Audiomojis may have been in development since September of last year, known as audio reactions at the time, with Google seemingly finally removing the flags and strings associated with the feature. However, it appears the company hasn’t abandoned it after all, and plans to resurrect it under the Audiomoji moniker.

Google's phone app doesn't usually get many updates, unlike other apps from the company. However, this new addition to Android has the potential to be one of the best in years, although we may have to wait a while, as Audiomojis have only appeared in the beta version so far.

Apart from the expected Audiomojis feature for Android devices, the Google Phone app helps improve communication through various features. It offers the ability to connect with people from all over the world by allowing you to make VoIP calls, which is especially useful for communicating with people located in different countries. In addition, the Google Phone app has a Caller ID feature, which helps users identify callers before answering a call. This can help prevent unwanted or spam. The Google Phone app also offers the ability to record calls, which can improve communication as it allows users to review their conversations and ensure that they do not miss any important information.
