The famous Italian automaker Lancia has unexpectedly revealed its new EV car after almost a decade.
The announcement was made unannounced, without any announcements and much earlier than expected.

Lancia has set the official launch for the new Ypsilon as February 14th (Valentine's Day), but to avoid waiting, the company has decided to give us a sneak peek at the exclusive, top-of-the-line Edizione Limitata Cassina. A limited run of 1,906 units highlights the founding year of Vincenzo Lancia's eponymous car company in 1906.
The Edizione Limitata Cassina was developed in collaboration with Cassina, an Italian company that produces high-quality furniture. As expected from Cassina, the interior of the new Y will feature tasteful Alcantara seats with an elegant “cannelloni” pattern, influenced by the company. In addition, various details are added such as a leather disc in front of the wireless phone charger and the company’s Sound Air Light Augmentation (SALA), which are visible in Lancia’s Facebook.

The company followed its post with a reveal video in Italian celebrating the new tiny electric car (EV).
The design incorporates elements from the classic car of the 1970s and the Beta HPE shooting brake, which was shown at the Pu+Ra HPE Concept last year.
