How to enable severe weather notifications in the iPhone Weather App:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check if your phone has at least iOS 15 or iOS 16.
  2. To allow the weather app to use your precise location for accurate notifications, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services and select “Always.”
  3. Allow the weather app to send notifications by going to Settings > Weather > Notifications and selecting “Allow Notifications,” including “Critical Alerts” and “Time-Sensitive Notifications.”
  4. In the same app, select the icon with the three lines in the bottom right and then the icon with the three dots in the top right.
  5. Select the ' Next-Hour Precipitation ' category and press 'Done ' .
