But what is Metal Gear Online 2 PC? Basically, it's a project that attempts to bring back the online features of Metal Gear Online 2 through the Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3.
In order for the game's Survival Mode to work, the team had to find a way to implement the dedicated server hosting feature as cheaply as possible. And they succeeded.
“To achieve this, TriggerHappy reverse engineered the peer-to-peer , which allowed us to host dozens of matches on a single server.”
Alongside Survival Mode, the team aims to add various fixes and updates to custom maps. Additionally, players can look forward to a brand new map (coming later this year).
