Destiny 2: Lightfall is about to launch its final endgame activity – the Root of Nightmares raid, which means what? That the next raid race will soon be a reality!
This “type” of competition is unique to Destiny 2: Lightfall , as players compete against each other to be the first team to complete the raid.

It is a high-profile event that attracts thousands of viewers on streaming platforms, and the Root of Nightmares raid is expected to deliver the same result.
The Root of Nightmares raid race will begin on March 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. PST (7 p.m. Greek time).
Players from all over the world will start the race, trying to be the first to cross the finish line.
Fans who are not participating can watch all the action live on Twitch or YouTube, where top content creators, such as KingGothalion and Gladd, will “fight” for the “belt” of first place.
In the race, teams will have 48 hours to fully complete the raid, with Contest Mode enabled, to ensure a level playing field.
The emphasis will be on strategy and execution rather than power levels ,as all teams in each match will be given the maximum power level (1,780).
The team that clears all matches and defeats the final boss will be the winner.

One thing is for sure, the Root of Nightmares raid race will be exciting, as previous races have taken up to 19 hours to complete.
The winning team will receive a custom-made championship belt designed by Bungie for all six players.
