Earlier this month, Google revealed some of the upcoming changes to the Play system with the January 2023 update. The company detailed several developer features related to Android Device Connectivity services and developments for the Play Games profile on its help page. Now, they've updated the same page once again to highlight a few additional changes, including an advanced feature for Google Password Manager.

The Google Play January 2023 system update will bring with it a host of new and improved features, such as the ability for users to add notes to saved passwords in Google Password Manager. It will also improve the functionality of Android 's native QR code scanner to help users scan existing photos from their gallery and handle Matter and UPI codes from OEM camera apps.

Additionally, the changelog now states that in addition to providing device connectivity-related features for developers, the update will also introduce new capabilities that will allow developers to support Machine Learning and artificial intelligence (AI) -related developer services in their apps .
According to Esper's Mishaal Rahman, these updates will be distributed via server-side methods. As a result, you may not notice the new features even if smartphone has the latest versions of the Google Play Store and Google Play Services installed.
