Jeff Chen, Microsoft's program lead for Microsoft Teams, said today that the app is now 30% faster between conversations and channels.

Chen claims that the new and improved Teams framework is responsible for these drastic performance improvements. HTML tree rendering, JavaScript , and array serialization are all faster than before.

On Tuesday, Chen explained that the most typical action for a user in Teams is switching between various conversations, channels, and activity streams.

Microsoft Teams is a powerful tool that can help your team stay connected and organized. With Microsoft Teams, you can chat with your colleagues in real time, share files, and work together on projects. Plus, Microsoft Teams integrates with other Office 365, like OneDrive, SharePoint, and Outlook, so you can access all your work in one place.

The company has also been working on other ways to make run smoother, including making it easier to join and leave meetings.

In June, Microsoft announced that its messaging apps had improved latency and page load times. Specifically, the company said that scrolling through chat and channel lists increased by more than 11% and message composition panels loaded 63% faster.

In February, the company announced that Teams requires significantly less power during power-intensive scenarios in video meetings between more than 10 participants. This means that up to 50% less power is used overall.

The company initially began working on reducing Teams' power requirements in June 2020 and has been gradually making improvements since then.
