After completing the deal with Twitter, Elon Musk is now the official owner of the platform. He started by firing all of Twitter's top executives and planned to change the company's policy on content moderation - which caused some users to feel uneasy and even start the hashtag #GoodByeTwitter. However, Jack Dorsey is currently testing his new social platform in beta and is inviting users to participate.
Dorsey’s new social media platform is called Bluesky, and its website is live. The app was first launched in 2019 with the goal of being “an open and decentralized model for social media.” It is registered as a Public Benefit LLC and is designed to help increase adoption rates of technologies that promote public discourse that are both open and decentralized.

The platform’s private beta has begun, the company said in a statement, and the public beta will begin once any issues are resolved. “During the beta, we will continue to make changes to the protocol specifications and share details about how it works. When it’s ready for release, we will move to open beta.” If you’d like to take part in the private beta, you can sign up for the waitlist on the company’s website.

Bluesky uses the Authenticated Transfer Protocol or AT Protocol, which is described as a federated social network. This means it is decentralized and distributed across multiple service providers.
