Rapper Kanye West, known as Ye, joined the Parler platform today.
“In a world where conservative views are seen as controversial, we must ensure that we have the right to express ourselves freely,” Mr. West said.
“This deal will change the world and change the way people think about free speech. Ye is making a groundbreaking move in the free speech media space and he doesn’t have to worry about being sidelined from social media again. Once again, Ye is proving that he is one step ahead of the pack. Parler will be honored to help him achieve goals ,” said George Farmer, CEO of Parler’s parent company, Parlement Technologies.

Parler did not disclose how much West will pay to buy the Parler platform or whether any policy changes are expected.
The app had previously been banned by Apple and Google from their app stores. In the days leading up to the Capitol riots, the platform was filled with posts about violent political threats, conspiracies , and riot-related content.
Parler has since changed its policies to remove more content and comply with the policies of tech giants Google and Apple. The app is now available on both platforms.

Recently, West's Instagram and Twitter accounts were locked due to anti-Semitic messages he posted on the platforms.
Twitter and Instagramsaid Ye posted messages that violated their policies.
