The company has started offering the ability to delete the last 15 minutes of search history with a simple tap. It's a feature that was first introduced to iOS users last summer and is now rolling out to Android devices as well.
Google confirmed the launch to The Verge over the weekend. “ We’re currently rolling out this feature to the Google app for Android, and in the coming weeks we expect it to be available to everyone who uses the app , ” a company spokesperson said.
The feature was initially spotted by former XDA Developers editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman, who was informed about the feature by a follower on Twitter.

The option to clear search terms from the last 15 minutes will appear under the Search History option in the Google app's settings panel.

This ability to clear search queries from the last 15 minutes is part of Google’s journey to make Android a more enjoyable mobile operating system for the masses. As I was writing this article, I realized that I’ve never previously chosen to clear my Google search history. This is a good opportunity for you to consider going into your account settings in the Google search app to make sure you know how much information the company is storing about you and whether you want to clear your history.
