Not long ago, the company said that by 2030 all of its cars would be electric. Now, the automaker has already started to introduce some impressive electric vehicles.

It started with the flagship EQS sedan, which competes with the Tesla ModelS.

Mercedes-Benz had already announced the smaller EQE, but just before the start of the IAA Mobility show in Munich, it reveals the production version of the EQE:

“The EQE features a sporty design with all the hallmarks of Mercedes-EQ vehicles“.

The electric sedan looks quite similar to the top-of-the-line EQS model, as Mercedes uses a similar design approach for its electric vehicles.

It is certainly smaller than the EQS with a shorter wheelbase of 3.12 meters, while the exterior dimensions are similar to those of a Mercedes CLS.

However, the interior dimensions are much larger than the E-Class thanks to the electric architecture that takes up less space than a system powered by an internal combustion engine. Speaking of the interior, the design is remarkably similar to what we've already seen in the larger EQS.

As for other features, the EQE utilizes the same technology as the EQS, resulting in important features such as Hyperscreen, Hepa filter and many more.

The software can be updated over-the-air and comes equipped with the latest driver-assist features offered by the popular German automaker.

Production is expected to begin soon at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen.

For now, the company has not announced the price for the new electric sedan.

At its IAA presentation , Mercedes-Benz also revealed the Mercedes G-Class EQG concept and the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV .
