"For all that we have managed to achieve while we are apart, the truth is that something essential has been missing from the past year and that is interpersonal relationships," Cook said in the memo.
Most employees will be asked to return to their offices every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with the option to work remotely every Wednesday and Friday. Teams that need to do in-person work will return to the office four to five days a week.

Employees will also be able to work completely remotely for up to two weeks each year, but remote work requests will have to be approved by managers.
Cook closed his note by saying he looks forward to seeing the faces of employees. “I know I’m not the only one who misses the activity, energy, creativity, and collaboration of our in-person meetings, as well as the sense of community we’ve built over the years,” he wrote.

Apple employees are expected to be required to return to Apple campuses and offices around the world, as Apple has always focused on the importance of collaboration. In March, Apple CEO Tim Cook said he was looking forward to employees returning to work and said Apple would implement a “hybrid environment” for the return.
