The new iMac, priced at $1,258.99 on amazon.com or $1,299.99 on bestbuy.com, brings a completely revamped design to Apple's long-running desktop computer, with a slimmer look, different color options, and the same amazing Apple M1 processor that impressed us in last year's MacBooks. Let's see what this PC brings.

The new iMac is ideal for anyone who wants a powerful desktop computer with a large screen, to perform both demanding tasks and simpler everyday ones. It is especially suitable for those already in the Apple ecosystem, as it will work seamlessly with the iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
This is the most compact and powerful iMac from Apple, with a thin design that comes in seven different colors and fits most workspaces. It will truly deliver excellent performance with the Apple M1 chip.
The new 24‑inch iMac has a smaller screen and fewer connectivity options than last year’s 27‑inch iMac, but it features a more compact and modern design and a faster processor.
With a thickness of just 11.5 millimeters and a height of 18 inches, the new iMac is about 50% smaller than the previous generation 21.5-inch iMac. As a result, it is very easy to set up on a desk in the office or at home and leaves plenty of space for the mouse and keyboard. It weighs less than 4.5 kilograms and is easy to move.
The 24-inch iMac comes in seven colors: pink, orange, yellow, blue, purple, green and silver.

The latest iMac uses a colored MagSafe for power, which connects magnetically to the back of the PC.
As with the latest MacBooks, the thin design of the new iMac results in fewer ports. The PC comes with only two Thunderbolt USB 4 ports and has two additional USB 3.0 ports in the $1,499 model.
The new color options for the iMac are extending to accessories as well, such as the Magic Keyboard, the Magic Mouse, and the optional Magic Trackpad. These peripherals are largely the same as previous versions, but they have a notable upgrade: You can now choose a Magic Keyboard with a Touch ID sensor. This allows connection to the iMac using only a quick fingerprint scan, which saves a few seconds each time it boots up.

The colorful design of the iMac features an equally impressive 24‑inch, 4.5‑millimeter screen that offers wonderful colors and brightness that bring all types of media to life. The open gray bezel surrounding the iMac's screen is thinner and less pronounced than the thick black bezel on the 27‑inch model from last year.
Apple also says that the new iMac camera is the «best camera on a Mac». With a 1080p shooter that is clearer than what you’ll find on the latest MacBooks, it makes everything look bright and largely vivid, even in less good lighting conditions.

Moreover, the new iMac is the first to feature Apple’s M1 processor, which allows the device to have the best possible performance for its incredibly thin design.
The macOS the device uses may not yet have the performance users expect, as some features work better on Windows and it doesn't offer as broad gaming support, but its seamless compatibility with other Apple products makes it a pleasure to use if you already have an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
The versions of the new iMac are as follows:
- Apple iMac 1.258,99 $ amazon.com or 1,233 $ expercom.com: 256 GB storage, 8 GB RAM, two ports, 7-core GPU, Magic Keyboard. Available in blue, green, red and silver.
