A column of vertical tabs will open on the left side of your browser window, and the horizontal tab bar will disappear. Once it’s open, it works as you’d expect: Click on any entry in the tab list and it’ll immediately open in the window. You can also click the “New tab” button to add a new tab, or drag and drop existing tabs to rearrange their order.

To close the vertical tab column (and return to horizontal tabs), simply click the “disable vertical tabs” button, which looks like a square with a curved arrow pointing up. It’s located in the upper-left corner of the vertical tabs.

If you ever want to go back to vertical tabs, obviously the process is the same: Just click the “enable vertical tabs” button again. Very easy!
