Some people have trouble remembering the birthdays of friends, colleagues and relatives. Fortunately, your iPhone can remember birthdays for you — just enter the information in the Contacts app. See how you can do it.

First, open “Contacts” on your iPhone. If you can’t find it, open the “Phone” app (the green phone receiver icon you use to make calls), then tap the “Contacts” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Once Contacts opens, scroll through the list and select the contact you want to add the birthday to. Once the person's contact card opens, tap the Edit button in the top right corner of the screen.

You are now in edit. Here you can add new information to your contact. Scroll down the page and click “add birthday”.

A date selection interface will appear. Enter the person's birthday. Selecting the year is optional.

After that, tap “Done” and you will see the full contact entry , along with the birthday

To add more birthdays, tap “Contacts” in the top left corner of the screen to return to the contacts. Then tap any entry you want and repeat the steps above.
