This year's Christmas may be different from what we're used to, but there are plenty of fun things we can do with the help of technology.

Some of our plans may have been postponed due to the circumstances, but luckily there are several ways that technology can enhance your experience this year. And the good news is that you don't even have to leave the house.
1. Zoom and other video calling services
With most of the planet on lockdown, there's never been a better time to use Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime, or whatever other messaging and video conferencing service you prefer to chat with friends and family.
For Christmas and New Year, Zoom has removed the 40-minute call limit. And, with plenty of festive features, like the ability to change your background, it's all you need to wish your family and friends.
2. GroupWatch
Some streaming services , including Disney+ , Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and BBC iPlayer, offer the ability to watch shows and movies as a group, even when you're in separate places. Take advantage of this feature and you'll feel like you're watching your favorite movies and series with the people you want.
3. Watch Santa Claus
Santa Claus has already started delivering gifts around the world and there are several ways to watch him.

4. Play games
You might not have gotten the new console you wanted this Christmas, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun playing games.
Microsoft's Xbox Games Pass and Sony's PlayStation Plus services are great ways to have fun, giving you access to a lot of games included in the monthly subscription price.
There's also Google's Stadia cloud gaming service, which is super easy to get started with.
5. Last-minute shopping
Stores may be closed, but that doesn't mean online shopping is closed. And since this Christmas is not like the previous ones, gifts can be given to our loved ones a little later.
