You can now download the Python programming language for free from the Microsoft Store.

Unlike most Linux and Unix systems, Windows did not, until now, include a native installation of Python. If you wanted to install Python, you had to download and run the MSI package that the CPython team has created for many years on their website.
Recently, the CPython team released an official package of the language in the Microsoft Store. This version of the Microsoft Store includes a simple installation of it, suitable for running scripts and packages and using IDLE or other development environments.
Due to restrictions on Microsoft Store apps, Python scripts will not have full write access to shared locations such as TEMP and the registry.
