Microsoft release has released the long-awaited chromium -based Edge browser in a preview for users who want to try it out. If you don't already have the new Microsoft Edge installed, head over to the Microsoft Edge Insider website to download the Developer or Canary build of the browser to your computer.
The new chromium-based Edge not only adopts the Chrome engine but also fully supports all Chrome extensions from the Chrome Web Store . The ability to download and install Chrome extensions is disabled by default, but you can enable it by going to the Edge://extensions/ page

How to install Chrome extensions in Edge:
- Download and install Microsoft Edge Insider (Dev or Canary) build on your Windows 10 PC.
- Start Microsoft Edge Dev (or Canary) on your computer.
- Click the three-dot menu (…) in the toolbar and select extensions from the available options, or go to edge://extensions/ directly from the address bar.
- In the bottom right panel, turn on the “Allow extensions from other stores” toggle switch.
- Accept the terms.
- Open chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions in your browser.
- Select an extension and click the Add to Chrome button to install it in Edge.
You are ready to try out the new features.
