Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update) is once again available for download, but according to new data from AdDuplex , its adoption is not going so well.
This is due to the fact that Microsoft is gradually giving the update to devices that request it around the world as more and more bugs continue to be fixed, but also because users are probably much more cautious and are not rushing to install this specific version.
Windows 10 version 1809 was originally released in early October, but Microsoft pulled it from the market a few days laterafter a bug emerged that caused data to be deleted.
The second version of the October update was released earlier this month, but as it turns out, the company's customers are in no hurry to install it.
AdDuplex reports that only 2.8% of Windows 10 PCs are running this October 2018 update. The April 2018 Update (version 1803) is still the most widely used version of Windows 10, due to the bugs we saw in October-November, and powers 89.5% of all Windows 10 PCs.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709) is now the third most used version of the operating system, but it's far behind at just 3.9%. The Creators Update (version 1703) is running on 1.5% of computers.
The adoption of Windows 10 version 1809 is expected to increase in the coming weeks as Microsoft makes it available to more and more devices around the world and of course as it continues to fix the bugs that arise.
