Google Lens: Standalone app released on Google Play

In March (March 7, 2018), Google announced that Google Lens, an app that uses artificial intelligence to detect objects using your phone's camera, will be available to all Google Photos users on Android.
Today, Google released a standalone Google Lens app through Google Play, allowing anyone who doesn't have the feature to get it on their Android device. The Google Lens app, as mentioned above, uses artificial intelligence to provide information from the images you've taken (clothes, books, buildings, etc.).Google Lens
Although you can download the Google Lens app, it doesn't seem to be compatible with all Android devices. For example, it will work perfectly on the Samsung Note 8, but not on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Other users have reported that the app doesn't work on the Moto Z Play, Nokia 7 Plus, and Xiaomi Mi A1. On Google Play, the app's installation specifications state that it requires Android Marshmallow and above.
So far, Google Lens works on the camera apps of the Pixel, Pixel 2, Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, as well as some OnePlus devices. Google said during I/O that the platform will initially work on 10 different Android devices, but it didn't specify which ones besides Pixel devices. Google only revealed the manufacturers of the 10 devices at the time: LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony Mobile, HMD/Nokia, Transsion, TCL, OnePlus, BQ and Asus.
If you have an Android device that isn't on the list, the Lens app probably won't work...
