Security BSides is a platform for creating events, which are organized by its members and are addressed to information systems enthusiasts. The events that take place worldwide have been hosted in Greece in recent years.
For the third consecutive year, Security BSides Athens is a reality. The event took place on June 23, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts of information systems security, with various discussions and presentations on new trends in the field of cybersecurity.
TwelveSec , a firm supporter of the Greek cybersecurity community, actively supported the event this year as a platinum sponsor. The CEO of TwelveSec, Mr. Ioannis Koukouras, informed the audience about the zero-day vulnerabilities, which were found during a security audit on a seemingly safe laptop that had, among other things, IPSec VPN client, Desktop Firewall , Network Access Control, Full Disk Encryption as well as many additional add-ons that protected against data mining and penetration into a corporate network.
Attendees also had the opportunity to compete in the ultimate cybersecurity Quiz. The questions and answers to this Quiz will soon be available on the company's official github.
