The common problem of our mobile phone's battery life can finally be brought under control.
According to some screenshots of the current iOS 12 beta, which were shared by a developer, the upcoming iOS 12 update will include a new battery monitoring feature, which will indicate which apps are consuming the most power.
Images published by 9to5Mac show a new battery monitoring feature that provides detailed statistics on which apps are using the most power throughout the day. The feature, which was not mentioned during Apple's WWDC conference, comes with an interactive graph that breaks down battery usage by hour.
Apple has been letting you see battery stats in iOS for some time, but the latest updates provide a more detailed view than ever. Instead of just seeing a percentage and a time period on the screen, you'll soon be able to see the exact battery usage of each app.
The update will theoretically make it easier to identify any apps that are consuming a disproportionately large percentage of the battery.
While this feature was left out of Apple 's main announcements , it's clear that the company is trying to address its users' concerns about battery life, as evidenced by the fact that the company added a new "battery health" setting to iOS earlier this year after it was criticized for slowing down performance on older models.
The "battery health" feature is still present in iOS 12, although there are no updates for the current iOS 12 beta, according to 9to5mac.
