Apple vs Android: The controversy between Android and iPhone fans is now increasingly common over the features introduced by Apple in its latest devices.
The features were more or less inspired by Google's mobile platform, as was the case with the wireless charging featured on the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, for example.
Most Android fans and Apple critics argue that the Cupertino company is no longer innovative, and is quite slow in adopting certain features.
But according to Apple's head of services Eddy Cue, it takes time to develop new features. As he explained in an interview with Livemint , Apple is "incredibly innovative" and when asked if the company has slowed down its level of innovation in recent years, he gave the following answer:
“Nothing! First of all, the iPhone is 10 years old. The iPad came after that and after that watch. So, I disagree and I think we are extremely innovative. I don’t take into account the work that has been done on the Mac, iOS and macOS, where I think we are leading the market.”
One of the most innovative features Apple has recently released is Face ID, exclusive to the iPhone X. It's a facial recognition system that uses 3D sensing cameras, and Apple says there's a one in 1,000,000 chance that someone will be able to unlock your iPhone with their face.
Anyway, I think both sides are right. The Google Pixel devices that were introduced right after the iPhone X were introduced are a model of technology, with a single camera that performs better than the iPhone's dual camera.
We are now talking about a real race, where in addition to speed, quality and innovation also play a role. This year, Apple finished in this race without finishing, as we are still waiting for the appearance of the iPhone X.
But we can't say anything about the technology that all the competitors are launching in the smartphone market. The devices are really high end, and their features are quite advanced. What is really missing is the wow that was heard at the first iPhone presentation by Jobs.
When innovation left no room for doubt..
On the other hand, of course, there are the well-known copycats, who are slowly eroding the dominance of the large "innovative" companies... See Xiaomi..
Because price is a factor that everyone should take more seriously into consideration.
