Apple is often cited as the leading company in terms of innovation, but Chinese companies are slowly improving in this regard, managing to develop features that Cupertino failed to create.
After introducing the first phone with an in-display fingerprint sensor, Vivo is back with another revolutionary device that will feature at least 10GB of RAM, as well as a set of other features you won't find elsewhere.
Vivo is now one of the world's largest phone makers, so in terms of resources, it has what it takes to stay close to international competitors. The Chinese company recently introduced in-display fingerprint sensors, a technology that Apple wanted to build into the iPhone X but which, according to people familiar with the matter, didn't work as the company had hoped.
Vivo, on the other hand, is wasting no time in terms of creating new innovative technology, and the company is said to be working on a new model called the Xplay 7 that will upgrade the RAM to 10GB.
It will also feature a fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm , which is also used in the Galaxy S9 in the US, and an edge-to-edge display with a screen that covers no less than 93 percent of the screen. For context, the iPhone X’s screen-to-body ratio is 82.9 percent.
Additionally, Vivo plans to equip the phone with a dual-camera system that will offer 4X lossless zoom, as well as a maximum storage capacity of 512GB.
As for the price of the device, there are currently no specific specifications, but don't expect it to cost as much as an iPhone X, although it clearly offers much better specifications in most cases. Chinese companies make phones that offer a great mix of latest-generation hardware and affordability, and the Vivo Xplay 7 is very likely to combine it in the best way.
