Debian: The Debian project team announced that in the last 72 hours they have upgraded all Live ISOs of the new Debian GNU/Linux 9 Stretch.
Last weekend, the stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 “Stretch” and provided the usual installation images for all supported architectures, as well as Live ISOs pre-loaded with selected desktop environments, such as GNOME, KDE, Cinnamon, Xfce, LXDE, and MATE.
"We found multiple issues with the Live ISOs released over the weekend and have been working on fixes since then. I've just released a new set of images in version 9.0.1," says Steve McIntyre of the debian-cd team.
KDE Live ISOs are still unstable on some hardware
Some of the issues fixed included problems displaying the isolinux menu when booting in BIOS mode, using very restrictive permissions (e.g. drwx ——) on root, using an incorrect volume identifier, and installation failures from Live images.
However, it seems that not all problems have been resolved, as KDE Live ISOs continue to be unstable on certain hardware, especially Intel hardware.
These problems should be fixed by the next update, which is scheduled for July.
