Apple is expected to make significant changes to the design of the iPhone 8, the new phone that marks the 10th anniversary of the release of the first iPhone. A recent report reveals that Apple will remove the home button from the new model.

The report specifically states that the new iPhone will have a 5.8-inch OLED display with 5.15 inches of usable screen space, some of which will be reserved for virtual buttons. This means that the company will completely remove the home button, thus reducing the size of the bezel on the new phone.
Along with the home button, the fingerprint recognition technology, Touch ID, is also lost, while there are many who believe that Apple will use a new technology to integrate fingerprint recognition.
Another piece of evidence that suggests the home button will be gone is the OLED display, which will be similar in size to the 4.7-inch iPhone. The actual iPhone screen will be 5.5 inches, but the body will be 4.7 inches. It should be noted that the company is considering creating a standard iPhone with 4.7 and 5.5-inch LED displays.
Previous reports suggest that the iPhone 8 will feature a glass body with wireless charging, while the other two iPhones to be introduced this year will not feature any major improvements. In addition to fingerprint technology, the iPhone 8 will also feature an iris scanner for facial recognition.
It is also rumored that Apple plans to incorporate new technology into the upcoming smartphone that will support longer battery life as well as a larger battery size.
