Microsoft is attempting to install its digital assistant, Cortana, on different software beyond Windows, with the company launching the beta program for Cortana on 1,000 iOS devices.
In other words, Microsoft is looking for 1,000 users who can participate in the Cortana beta program for iOS with the aim of improving the personal assistant and its functionality in iOS software.
Although the company has not officially announced this trial version of Cortana, it has created a survey that requires users to fill out certain details before being accepted into the program.
"We've launched a new beta program for iOS and we want your feedback to improve this experience as much as possible. This is a limited release for users in the US and UK. Anyone interested can sign up immediately," a Microsoft spokesperson said.
Cortana is already available in the iOS App Store, with the trial version being the easiest way to achieve this experiment.
A beta program for Cortana already exists on Android , and because the digital assistant technology is in the spotlight and competition in the tech industry is increasing, Microsoft is seeking to bring it to iOS as quickly as possible.
Apple, for its part, is not giving up the fight with its own digital assistant, Siri, remaining available for the iOS operating system. So it seems that a battle is beginning that will certainly be very interesting. It remains to be seen who will be the winner.
