Shopping is changing by following the dictates of technology as Intel introduces a responsive platform that uses sensors and software to enhance the shopper's experience and accelerate the collection of information about our purchasing habits. Intel's goal is for stores to turn to it for a comprehensive solution that will increase their sales.

The company does not just talk the talk but is already investing in the project with over 100 million dollars for the next 5 years.
It is not yet certain what the company's solution will ultimately look like, however, indicative technology has also been used with Simbe Robotics' Tally, which checks inventory on shelves, and with ShopperMXTM HIVE, which gives the shopper a virtual reality preview of the store.
Intel is not the first company that is linked to the world of commerce but it is certainly among’ the most powerful names and has all the means to develop cutting‑edge technology. If its plans succeed then we will be talking about a new era in the use of technology in everyday life and a counterweight in front of the declining trajectory of the PC industry.
Moreover, the CEO , Brian Krzanich, argues that in the new, 'smart' world where everything is connected, there is a need for technology that improves computing power in devices and data centers. The so-called 'Internet of things' is an idea that the chip giant has been promoting for years and personalized shopping seems to be the next step.
