Google has just released more information about its fourth annual Hash Code 2017 programming competition. It is aimed at novice or amateur programmers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and challenges them to solve an existing Google engineering problem.
Their reward is the participation itself: meeting new people with similar interests, having fun, and participating in official programming hubs. Starting on February 23, 2017 with the Online Qualifying Round, the top 50 teams that will emerge will travel to Google in Paris.

The Hash Code 2017 competition begins on February 23, 2017 with the Online Qualifying Round. The top 50 teams that emerge from this round will receive an invitation to travel to Google in Paris , the City of Light. There, the final will be held and the battle for the coveted title of Hash Code 2017 Champion will take place on April 1
Whether you're just starting out in programming or are a seasoned pro, Hash Code is a great opportunity to hone your coding skills, get a taste of the software that's built at Google, and have some fun. Here you can take a look at past problems from the competition to see the challenges that participants have faced in the recent past.
Students and professionals across all regions of the competition are already applying to participate in Hash Code hubs, where local teams will also compete in the Online Qualifier Round. So far, more than 250 hubs have been created across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The competition is one side of the fun. The other is the opportunity you provide within the hubs to meet new people. If you can't find a hub near you, you can register on our website and be the host at a center at your University, office or city.
