Hiding data with White Space (Steganography)

Steganography is a technique that allows you to hide a secret message within a regular message while maintaining the confidentiality of your data. The technique allows the hidden message to be extracted to the destination of your choice.steganography

An attacker can use steganography to hide messages, such as the source code of hacking tools, usernames and passwords, plans for future attacks, and more.

Below I will explain how you could do it in practice using the Snow tool.

1) Create a simple txt file. Browse to the folder containing Snow with a command line and write the following command:snow

2) After creating the encrypted txt file you can open it and notice the differences. Are they the same size? No.

What else could you see?
