Twitter and Vine now support videos up to 140 seconds

Twitter is now allowing select users of the Vine app to upload videos up to 140 seconds long.

Currently, for the common man, Twitter supports videos of 30 seconds or less, and Vine users are limited to six seconds.

Additionally, there’s a new iOS app called “Engage” that helps you get insights into your account. The Engage app, which is available to everyone, aims to help creative Twitter users see detailed real-time metrics so they can listen to and retain their audience.

For Vine users who upload videos to Twitter, the six-second limit remains, but they can now preview videos for 140 seconds. There’s a new “see more” button that extends the length beyond six seconds. Vine says the feature is in beta and plans to gradually expand it broadly in the future, in partnership with Twitter.
