The largest social network is changing your News Feed again. Facebook has reportedly added support for 360-degree videos to its News Feed.
The new feature is already available for some users (for Android mobile devices and all computers) and works in a similar way to how it works on YouTube.
On mobile devices, you can simply move your phone to look around the video (or tap and drag). On computers, just click and drag with your mouse.
The idea for 360-degree videos probably came from Oculus, which Facebook bought in 2014. There are already some pretty impressive videos available. You'll find videos from Star Wars, Discovery, GoPro, LeBron James & Uninterrupted, Saturday Night Live, and VICE, among others.
The company says that the new video format will be available on the web and on Android mobile devices “soon” (it already works for some, as we mentioned above), and that it will not work in Safari and Internet Explorer browsers.
iOS users will have to wait a few months as well.
