Kaspersky Lab is introducing a new version of its Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac, aimed at meeting the challenges posed by modern cybersecurity trends and threats in heterogeneous environments. The new solution is available through the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, which businesses can manage through the single Kaspersky Security Center.
As the Mac OS operating system holds a significant share of the terminal market (approximately 6%), which continues to grow, the number of threats against Mac systems is increasing at a corresponding rate. Also, the fact that heterogeneous networks are showing increasing trends among small and medium-sized businesses creates additional threats. The use of many different platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux and virtual environments) by modern businesses complicates efforts to protect IT environments and valuable business data. In fact, these efforts are becoming even more difficult due to the increase in the use of remote management solutions.
Responding to these trends, Kaspersky Lab refreshed the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business suite, with the new solution Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Mac.
The new version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac combines strong protection technologies, efficiency and seamless manageability, which have been developed to cover heterogeneous IT environments. Additionally, it offers a wide range of tools and technologies that can be easily installed and used. The new features of the popular corporate security solution provide Mac computer owners with a series of benefits.
The solution's integration with Kaspersky Security Network allows businesses to leverage cloud-based security trend intelligence to quickly detect malware and other malicious activities.
Kaspersky Lab’s Network Attack Blocker technology also monitors suspicious activity on corporate networks. At the same time, it allows IT managers to predetermine how systems will respond to suspicious activity that is detected. The goal of Network Attack Blocker technology is to “block” threats against corporate networks, including DDoS attacks, buffer overflows, and remote action.
To protect businesses and employees from Internet threats, Kaspersky Lab has enhanced Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Mac with Web Protection and Anti-phishing.
With this method, all incoming and outgoing data traffic is scanned and malicious scripts are blocked, without burdening system resources. At the same time, the handling of cybercriminals attempting to gain access to personal and financial information via phishing websites is strengthened. Thus, overall protection levels against threats targeting Mac systems are increased.
“At Kaspersky Lab, we believe that every business, regardless of size and market, has its own unique infrastructure, which requires deep and multi-layered protection against digital threats. Every part of the corporate infrastructure should be protected, because cybercriminals will try to exploit every opportunity to penetrate the corporate network. By strengthening the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and offering multi-layered protection for different infrastructures, we are making it easier for businesses, including those using Mac, to ensure their protection. We believe that this approach allows our customers to focus on their business growth, without having to worry about their digital security,” said Konstantin Voronkov, Head of Endpoint Product Management at Kaspersky Lab.
