US preparing unprecedented sanctions against China

Cyber attacks are a major issue between the United States and China, as both sides often talk about it but essentially neither of the two countries takes responsibility, nor accepts the accusations. us china China China

It is a fact that due to the nature of these actions, it is difficult to say what the truth is, as not everything is black or white.

For its part, the United States appears prepared to impose "unprecedented" sanctions on China to punish it for a series of alleged commercial cyberattacks, a Washington Post report claims

According to the publication, which cites anonymous US officials, the Obama administration plans to impose sanctions «without precedent» on Beijing as a response to a recent series of alleged commercial cyber attacks.

The government can justify these sanctions based on information that reports that Chinese companies have exploited and benefited from the cyber-thefts of US commercial secrets, such as intellectual property data, corporate and commercial secrets.

Obviously the Obama administration has not yet decided whether to proceed with the sanctions or not, but the White House is expected to make the final decision on the matter soon. A White House spokesperson refused to comment on the issue.

Moreover, in a few weeks the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington is expected. Last week, a White House spokesperson confirmed that there is «no doubt» that this issue (the issue of cyber attacks from the side of China) will be on the agenda.
