devolo will present seven new products for the smart home and easy home networking during IFA 2015 with the central message "Smart Home & network via power - A powerful framework".
An interactive home will be set up at the devolo stand where end customers and partners will experience the ease and intuitive way of installing and operating a home with devolo Home Control products. The devolo app will also be at the center of the stand, which visitors will have the opportunity to try out for themselves. With
the devolo Home Control products, which were gradually launched in various European countries in March of this year, devolo offers a complete solution for intelligent home control, covering the areas of security, ergonomics and energy saving. However, this does not mean that devolo has forgotten its roots, which are Powerline. Thus, the central unit of the home control system is based on Powerline technology, thus connecting the two product lines.
devolo Home Control with three new sensors and actuators
devolo is presenting at IFA 2015 three new sensors and actuators that complement the existing home control range.
The indoor siren is a smart alarm device that is an ideal complement to the devolo Motion Sensor and Door/Window Contact. The siren emits an audible signal that scares away unwanted intruders or warns neighbors, for example.
In addition, the user automatically receives a warning message via SMS, e-mail or in the app.
The new water sensor-detector offers additional security, since as soon as it comes into contact with a liquid, the Home Control user is automatically notified. The sensor can be placed next to the washing machine or dishwasher, to ensure that the water can be shut off quickly before significant damage is caused.
The latest addition to the series is the humidity sensor that regularly checks the temperature and humidity, preventing problems such as the development of mold or unhealthy ventilation in indoor spaces, in both old and new buildings.
devolo Home Control flush-mounted modules for electrical sockets, lights, dimmers and roller shutter control
devolo is expanding its Smart Home product range with three built-in elements that can be installed by a qualified installer and are directly connected to a 230V network. The new additions can be installed in standard switches, directly either behind a light switch or behind a socket. Once the switch is installed, the light can be switched on and off either mechanically or via a wireless device, e.g. smartphone or tablet.
If installed behind a socket, the flush-mounted switch can switch between the power supply and the connected energy meters, switching them on or off respectively and measuring the energy consumption. The integration of the flush-mounted dimmer into the devolo Home Control system provides the user with convenient lighting control, which also allows the brightness to be controlled via a wireless connection or using predefined rules. The roller shutter control sensor is intended to be integrated into roller shutter switches for their control.
The three new built-in additions allow the user to use a smartphone, tablet or computer to control and automate electrical components that previously could only be operated using a traditional switch or dimmer. In addition, they enable the user to determine, wherever they are in the world and at any time, whether the lights should be on or off, to check at a glance whether the window shutters are closed, all easily through the Home Control software or app.
Finally, it provides statistics that show when specific elements are activated or deactivated as well as how much energy is consumed.
dLAN 550 WiFi for greater wireless range in the home network
The new dLAN 550 WiFi provides high-speed wireless home networking and Internet, now giving access and wireless coverage, even to the most remote rooms that previously had no or poor wireless coverage.
The adapter can transfer data at speeds of up to 500 Mbps over the power line and up to 300 Mbps over WiFi. This allows you to stream even Full HD video quickly and smoothly anywhere in the house.
Thanks to range+ technology, the dLAN 550 WiFi uses all three cables in the power lines, ensuring particularly stable and long-range data transmission.
WiFi Move technology is also integrated, allowing all devolo Powerline adapters to connect to each other to form a large "wireless umbrella" that allows mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to automatically select the strongest wireless access point wherever they are (inside the house or outside in the garden or terrace).
