Student applications for participation in the Educational Trip 2015 program have begun

Applications are now open for the Educational Trip 2015, organized for the sixth consecutive year by Corallia and the Greek student associations of Stanford (Hell.AS), UC Berkeley (Hestia), MIT (HSAMIT), Georgia Tech (GTHS) and, for the first time, UC San Diego (HSAUCSD).Educational Trip Educational Trip Educational Trip

The Educational Trip gives students from public universities in Greece and, for the first time, Cyprus, to visit leading academic institutions worldwide and gain new ideas and knowledge that they will be able to utilize and apply in their own academic environment upon their return. The students who are selected will have the opportunity to visit five leading academic institutions internationally for a week and attend courses, lectures and seminars, according to their academic interests, to visit cutting-edge technology companies, such as Google, Facebook, etc. as well as research centers in San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta and San Diego.

The Program increases participation this year to 24 from 20.

Eligible to participate in the Program are students of Greek and public Cypriot universities, who study at polytechnic schools, schools of natural sciences and schools of economics, who have completed their first year of study and are not in their graduation year, who have a remarkable course in their studies and have demonstrated an interest in the development of the university they attend and general voluntary and social activity.

The application deadline is January 11, 2015 and the trip will take place on March 28, 2015.For more information about Educational Trip 2015, visit the program website www.edutrip.gr.

Over seventy students from different departments and academic institutions have participated in the program to date . The experiences they gained through the Educational Trip and the collaboration between them led to significant results, contributing to the improvement of the academic reality in our universities. Indicative results that have been achieved with the contribution of the program's graduates are the establishment of the Co.Mv.oS group , with the participation of students from the largest universities in the country (NTUA, NKUA, AUEB, AUTH, University of Patras and University of Crete), with the aim of activating, collaborating with students and highlighting student initiatives across Greece, the organization of Job Fair Athens with the aim of connecting students with the labor market, which was later institutionalized as an annual organization and independent organization, attracting over 4,500 visitors to date, the organization of various thematic speeches and actions (e.g., Patras Game Expo , Team Fair AUTH ), as well as the transfer of experiences and know-how to various other organizations across Greece (student groups, startups, etc.).
