The Nikkei news agency cited sources from LCD panel suppliers to Apple in a report , according to which the American company plans to release its next smartphone ( iPhone 6 ) in September.
The agency claims that the new model will be called the iPhone 6 and will be released in two versions, with larger dimensions than the iPhone 5S and 5C. Thus, the two upcoming models will have a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen, compared to the 4-inch of the recent iPhones. At the same time, they will have a higher resolution, which will reach a pixel density of 538 ppi.
According to Nikkei, production of other smartphone components, such as the fingerprint sensor, has already begun.
