When Google announced Google Glass , Epson already had something similar, but it was only known to a few. The Epson Moverio BT-100 Smart Glasses have evolved into the new and lighter Moverio BT-200 model .
Of course, Epson's proposal is not particularly aesthetically pleasing, since the cable that runs from the glasses to connect to the portable device that is also the control center spoils the overall image.
Also, the Moverio BT-200 is not as sophisticated in its handling as Google Glass, in that functions are performed via gesture, movement, or a small button on the frame of the glasses, but via a touch device like a mobile phone.
However, the Moverio BT-200 is clearly cheaper than Google Glass, with the announced price at $700.
