He killed his wife and then confessed to the murder with a… post on Facebook! And he didn't stop there, he also uploaded a photo of her bloody body.
The case has shocked Florida, where 31-year-old Derek Medina and his 26-year-old wife, Jennifer Alfonso, lived.
"I'm going to prison or the death penalty for killing my wife," Medina wrote on his Facebook page before surrendering to police.
With the next post, he uploaded a photo showing a woman on the floor with blood on her arm and face, and the caption “RIP” (Rest In Peace).
The 31-year-old surrendered when police arrived at his home and found the body of the unfortunate 26-year-old.
The motives for the murder have not been revealed so far.
The macabre post was removed from Facebook about five hours later, according to Florida television station WPLG.
