Anonymous attacked Congress and of course Congress denies it

A hacktivist group called Anonymous claims on one of its many Twitter that it has gained access to accounts belonging to several members of Congress and staffers. They also published an electronic document that suggests that senators are not being very careful in choosing passwords to protect sensitive government emails.

Of course, immediately after that came a publication from the Atlantic Wire stating that the passwords published by Anonymous were not valid. The information was provided by the system administrator of the Congressional website.

Atlantic Wire goes on to report that Congress has very strict regulations to ensure that executive branch passwords are strong.
