Facebook app for iOS and Android sees big growth

Facebook Friendly Marketing

According to analyst Bernie Evans, Facebook has seen a big increase in its traffic through its mobile apps. Specifically, Android users have grown from 66 million in September 2011 to 175 million, while iOS users have grown from 91 million to 140 million over the same period.

Additionally, Facebook reported that it had 470 million visits from mobile app users in 2012, with an additional 45 million users visiting via iPad. According to a Facebook report, the total number of users reached 1 billion, with 604 million of them using a mobile device.

And while the report includes platforms like RIM, Windows Phone, and Nokia, the biggest traffic came from devices running iOS and Android. Mobile usage is a big part of Facebook's strategy, and it's something the company will be looking to expand in the future.

Knowing the future, Facebook will do everything it can to not only keep its "customers" but also to help them engage more with its service. The future is on mobile devices, so they will do everything they can to keep their users close to them.
