Rumors continue about the Samsung Galaxy A8

Not only rumors but even images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) have been circulating for quite some time now, and it seems that the device has just recently passed the AnTuTu benchmark test. The specifications seem to contradict some of the previous rumors about the smartphone, but until it is officially announced, nothing is certain!

The AnTuTu listing shows that the smartphone may come with the model number SM-A810F and runs a Samsung Exynos 7420 SoC, with four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.1GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz, and an octa-core Mali-T760 Mali-T760 graphics processing unit.

Furthermore, the smartphone looks like it will come with a Full HD display, possibly in a size larger than 5.7 inches.

The AnTuTu listing, spotted by Steve Hemmerstoffer , also shows that the smartphone's rear camera is 8MP, which seems to contradict previous rumors that pointed to a 16MP camera on the back.

The front camera is 5MP and the device can be equipped with 64GB of internal memory and 3GB of RAM.

Samsung may also make a different variant of the phone in some regions, one that will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC and Adreno 405 graphics processing unit.

The rumored price of the device could reach $300, which would be very affordable for many consumers in the market. The Galaxy A8 (2016) could run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and could be the successor to last year's Galaxy A8.
